How it works

A short call back
The office asks a few questions to understand the matter in outline and to check that we have no conflict of interest, for example because we already act for the other side. We then fix a time to meet.
The meeting
Meetings are held at the office at 5/525, KNG Nagar, Perur, Coimbatore, near Vijayakumar Hospital, with parking available. We listen to the facts, read the documents, and explain your rights, the options open to you, any time limits, and the likely steps, costs and time involved.
Your decision
You are free to take time to decide. If you want us to act for you, the scope of work and the fees are agreed with you before any work begins.
What we will and will not say
No advocate can promise the result of a case, and we do not. What you can expect is a candid view of the strengths and weaknesses of your position, the risks, and the realistic options, including settlement where it is fair.
What you tell us is kept confidential. Please bring documents to the meeting rather than sending them through the website form, which is not meant for confidential material.
What to bring
For every matter:
- Proof of identity and address
- A short note of the events in date order, with names, places and amounts
- All letters, notices, emails and messages exchanged with the other side
- Any agreement, receipt or document the dispute is about
- Any court papers, police complaint or notice already received, with dates
And for your type of matter:
Consumer case
- Bill, invoice or receipt
- Warranty card, agreement, booking form or policy document
- Emails, chats and complaint reference numbers
- Photos or videos of the defect
- Any legal notice sent or received, and the replies
PoSH compliance
- Your current policy on sexual harassment, if any
- The order constituting the Internal Committee
- Annual reports sent to the District Officer
- Records of training held so far
- For a pending complaint: the complaint and the committee’s record so far (bring these to the meeting rather than sending them through the website)
Land and property
- Sale deed and parent documents
- Patta, chitta and adangal
- FMB sketch
- Encumbrance certificate
- Layout or planning approval
- Property tax and electricity receipts
- Any notice, legal correspondence or court papers
Bail and anticipatory bail
- A copy of the FIR or complaint, if available
- Any notice from the police, and the arrest memo if someone has been arrested
- Proof of identity and address of the person concerned
- Identity, address and income or property documents of the people who may stand surety
- Documents that show your side of the dispute
Family and matrimonial
- Marriage certificate, or the invitation and photographs
- Birth certificates of children
- Proof of income and a list of assets, for maintenance
- A list of streedhan and gifts, with any photos or bills
- Copies of any notices, petitions or complaints already filed
Business and contract disputes
- The contract or purchase orders, with all annexures
- Invoices, delivery records and account statements
- Correspondence and notices exchanged
- Udyam registration, for a micro or small enterprise claiming delayed payment
