Advocates for PoSH compliance in Coimbatore
Helping employers in Coimbatore meet their duties under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, from a compliance audit to a working Internal Committee and regular training.
Who this helps
Every employer with ten or more employees must constitute an Internal Committee at each office or unit. We work with employers across Coimbatore district, including:
- textile mills, foundries and engineering units
- IT, service and business process companies
- hospitals and clinics
- schools, colleges and training institutes
- NGOs, trusts and housing associations
- start-ups growing past ten employees
How we handle it, step by step
Compliance audit
We review your policy, the order constituting the Internal Committee, displayed notices, training records, past complaints and annual reports, and give you a written report of gaps and what to fix first.
Policy and notices
We draft or revise your policy against sexual harassment, and prepare the notices the Act requires: the penal consequences of sexual harassment and the names and contact details of Internal Committee members.
Internal Committee constitution
We help you set up the committee correctly: a senior woman employee as Presiding Officer, at least two employee members, and one external member from an NGO or a person familiar with sexual harassment issues. At least half the members must be women, and each member serves up to three years. We draft the constitution order and help you identify a suitable external member.
Training modules
Awareness sessions for all employees on what sexual harassment is and how to raise a complaint. Capacity-building for committee members on inquiry procedure, natural justice, confidentiality and report writing. Separate sessions for managers and supervisors, who are often the first to hear of a complaint.
Complaint handling support
We guide the committee through each stage within the statutory timelines: a complaint within three months of the incident (extendable by three more), conciliation if the complainant asks for it, an inquiry completed within 90 days, a report within 10 days of the inquiry, and action by the employer within 60 days of the report.
Annual report and review
We help the committee prepare its annual report for the employer and the District Officer, include the required disclosures in your own annual report, and schedule refresher training and periodic reviews.
