Advocates for family and matrimonial cases in Coimbatore

A mediation-led approach to separation, maintenance, custody and other family disputes in Coimbatore, aimed at a fair settlement with as little conflict as possible, especially where children are involved.

Who this helps

Spouses and families who want to resolve matters with dignity and privacy, including:

  • couples considering separation or divorce
  • parents agreeing custody and visitation
  • maintenance and permanent alimony
  • return of streedhan and personal belongings
  • property and inheritance questions within families

How we handle it, step by step

  1. Confidential consultation

We listen, understand the family situation, and explain your rights and options under the personal law that applies to your marriage.

  2. Counselling

Where there is a chance of reconciliation, we suggest counselling with a professional family counsellor. Family courts are themselves required to try for a settlement before deciding a case.

  3. Mediation

Structured sessions with a trained mediator, private or court-annexed, to agree on custody and visitation, maintenance or alimony, the return of belongings and the division of property.

  4. Settlement agreement

We put the agreed terms in writing precisely, covering payment schedules, custody arrangements and the withdrawal of any other pending cases, so that both sides can rely on them.

  5. Mutual consent proceedings

Where the parties have agreed to divorce, we prepare and file a joint petition for divorce by mutual consent, for example under Section 13B of the Hindu Marriage Act. The court can waive the six-month waiting period in suitable cases.

  6. Contested proceedings, if needed

Where settlement is not possible, we represent you before the Family Court and other forums, and keep the option of settlement open as the case proceeds.
